The Lord blessed the world with two little
angels, but then called them home to Him.
Angel and Marisa were born on 9/7/04 and were 15 weeks
premature. Angel only live one hour after birth. Marisa courageously fought for
her life until 2/26/05.
I still feel very honored to have stayed in contact with Angela
within this last year. It is not everyday that you get to meet someone like
Angela. She is one of the strongest women I know, and I am very glad to
call her a friend.
When I first made Angel and Marisa's page The Rodriguez family
had started a Memorial Fund in the girls names. They were trying to raise money
to buy rocker/recliners and CD players for the NICU.
I proudly would like to share with you what has been
accomplished by you and the Rodriguez family within the last year.
Donated money was also used to help buy:

-
Decorative items for the pumping room.
-
DVD players.
-
Music.
-
We also donated at least 30 pink & blue CD players for the
babies to listen to music.
-
Numerous CD's and cassettes
-
Blank cassettes so that parents could make recordings of their
voices to leave with their babies.
-
These two recliners to the right were donated for the pumping
room.
-
Lamps
-
Tables
-
Rack for brochure for the new breast pumping room
-
Crib aquarium toys.
This is a picture of the plaques that were put on the chairs in Angel and Marisa's name. The plaques say:
“Good things come in small packages.”
Donated in celebration of our miracle packages, Angel and Marisa. DOB: 09/07/04. Love, Mommy and Papi. Angela & Alberto Rodriguez

Thousands of babies are born prematurely each year. Most of our major
hospitals care for these little ones and many accept donations of little hats,
blankets and booties for the babies. For the new moms and dads, it is so
comforting to see their tiny newborn wearing `normal` clothes in the incubator,
and those little clothes mean so much. If you would like to make and donate
items like these little slippers that were named after Marisa you can
for pattern), be sure to check with your local hospitals and see what their
needs are.
If you wish to make a donation, contact any of your local hosptials to see what items that are in need of.
